About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY19135) in private practice in Burbank, California. In addition, I am licensed to provide therapy throughout the state of California, so I also work with many people in other parts of our large and sprawling City of Angels, and throughout the state via telehealth. I have lived and worked in Southern California for nearly 30 years, so it feels like home in many ways now, although I am originally from Canada.
People I work with describe me as a warm, skillful, and approachable therapist who is responsive to their needs and dedicated to helping them meet their goals. My style is very grounded in the present and aimed at helping people navigate life’s challenges more effectively in the here and now, while also incorporating an understanding of how prior experiences and learning inform our difficulties.
I earned my BA in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, my MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from USC, and completed additional pre- and post doctoral training at UCLA and UCSD. Additional work experience includes positions as Director of Psychology at City of Hope, Attending Psychologist in the UCLA Eating Disorders Program, and Clinical Director/Chief Psychologist at the Camden Center.
